This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use QuickBill's platform, including our web application, hosted invoice pages, and WhatsApp messaging services.

2. Information we collect
From merchants (business users):
- Name, email address, phone number
- Business name, address, and branding assets
- Invoice and transaction data
- WhatsApp business number (for messaging integration)
- Billing and subscription data
From customers (invoice recipients):
- Name, phone number, email (when provided by the merchant)
- Invoice interaction data (opens, clicks, payment activity)
- Payment information (handled by our licensed payment providers)
Automatically collected:
- IP address and browser information
- Page interaction data
- Authentication events
3. How we use your information
- To provide the QuickBill service (invoicing, reminders, receipts, collections)
- To communicate with you about your account
- To send invoices and payment notifications on behalf of merchants

We do not sell your personal data.
We share data with:
- Payment providers (Nomba, Paystack) — for checkout and billing processing
- Messaging providers (Meta/WhatsApp Business API) — for invoice and reminder delivery
- Infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) — for hosting and data storage
- Legal authorities — where required by Nigerian law
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active, plus 7 years for financial records as required by Nigerian regulations. You may request deletion of non-financial data at any time.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews. We do not store payment card data — this is handled entirely by our licensed payment providers.

8. WhatsApp messaging
QuickBill uses the WhatsApp Business API to send invoice notifications, reminders, and receipts on behalf of merchants. Message frequency varies based on invoice activity. Standard data rates may apply. Customers can opt out of WhatsApp messages by contacting the sending merchant.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies for session management and authentication. We do not use advertising tracking cookies.
